Three Bagatelles
Originally composed in 2021, Three Bagatelles for Alto Saxophone and Piano is an example of modern saxophone repertoire which explores modal themes at different tempos, intended on capturing a musical depiction of a conversation between the saxophonist and the pianist. The work will be 9-10 minutes in length with three movements, entitled I. Nimbly, II. Gently, and III. Briskly.
Paired with Dearest Hope, this new work is supported by the Eastman-Jamison Consortium. Consortium members gain exclusive performance rights upon release of the piece, all while directly contributing to the release of modern saxophone/guitar repertoire.
